About Us
The National Phytotherapeutics Research Centre (NPRC) is a pioneering hub for advancing research in phytotherapeutics, fostering innovation in health solutions. The National Phytotherapeutics Research Centre was officially commissioned on 29th June 2022. The chief Guest was Prof. Shem E. Migot-Adholla, Chairman of Kenyatta University Council. Other distinguished guests were Prof. Paul K. Wainaina, the Vice Chancellor of Kenyatta University, Vice Chancellors of other universities (or their representatives), CEO of the National Research Fund (Dr. Kioko Mwania), members of Kenyatta University Council, members of Management Board of Kenyatta University, Deans, Directors and Chairpersons of departments of Kenyatta University and other invited guests.

Our History
The National Phytotherapeutics Research Centre was officially commissioned on 29th June 2022. The chief Guest was Prof. Shem E. Migot-Adholla, Chairman of Kenyatta University Council. Other distinguished guests were Prof. Paul K. Wainaina, the Vice Chancellor of Kenyatta University, Vice Chancellors of other universities (or their representatives), CEO of the National Research Fund (Dr. Kioko Mwania), members of Kenyatta University Council, members of Management Board of Kenyatta University, Deans, Directors and Chairpersons of departments of Kenyatta University and other invited guests. The event involved a tree planting, placing of the plaque, cutting the ribbon, tour of the laboratories at the Centre, entertainment at Business Student Service Centre (BSSC), speeches and official opening of the Centre. Guest were treated to a sumptuous luncheon
